Who will the pope side with?
[Wars and Rumors of Wars, Nation Against Nation, Matthew 24]

(WP) Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, appealed to Pope Francis yesterday regarding the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Erdogan has made known his desire for Israel to be ostracized for what he calls attacks on Palestinian territories.
Citing all kinds of supposed atrocities being committed against the Palestinian people as Israel continues to defend itself against terrorist attacks led by Hamas, Erdogan also mentioned that the situation is endangering regional security.
While Pope Francis has encouraged both Israeli and Palestinian (Hamas) leaders to lay down their arms and stop exchanging rocket fire, he has not yet publicly taken sides in the conflict.
Erdogan states that "all humanity should unite against Israel’s illegal and inhuman practices that also violate the status of Jerusalem" and calls for the international community to "punish Israel" for what he claims is crimes against humanity.
Meanwhile, the world awaits the pope's stance, and continues to wonder whether he will condemn the nation of Israel for defending its citizens against hostile fire from the terrorists in its outlying regions and at its borders.
