Netanyahu Says He will Turn Israel into World Superpower
March 22, 2021
(WP) In an edited version of an article that was first published in Israel Hayom, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discusses, among other things, the prosperity his nation is enjoying. He also talks about his push to vaccinate the entire Israeli populace. The journalist interviewing him for the piece mentions that earlier this month, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla "praised Netanyahu's obsessive efforts to secure vaccines," and even told one television station that the Prime Minister "had called him 30 times on the subject."
Netanyahu is nothing if not certain that the three national lockdowns and related measures taken to control COVID-19 in Israel were the right actions to take. He is also confident that after the election, his new economic plan will ensure as much as 8% in annual economic growth for the country. Tactics for his $4.5 billion plan include a "drastic tax cut and the start of $12.1 billion worth of mega projects" that the Prime Minister has planned with the United Arab Emirates.
Reuters reported last month that the Israeli economy only contracted 2.4% in 2020 amid the COVID pandemic. The average decline for other OECD countries was 5.5%. In Israel, high rates of unemployment and dips in the tourism industry were offset by high-tech imports and solid consumer spending.
We are on the verge of great successes with the economy, with peace, in technology. I’m going to turn Israel into a world superpower. - Prime Minister Netanyahu
Economic experts tend to agree with the Prime Minister's assertion that his country's economy is quite strong indeed. Goldman Sachs expects growth of 7.5% in 2021, and the Bank of Israel projects a 6.3% increase if COVID-19 vaccination rates are sustained.
With infrastructure development, foreign investments, tourism dollars, and technology boons, Israel seems set to deliver all that Netanyahu promises. This comes as no surprise to those who know Bible prophecy. First, the Lord promised to return his people to the land he had promised them. Then, he said the land would be fruitful and prosperous.
I will increase the number of people and animals living on you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the LORD. - Ezekiel 36:11 (NIV)
