Massive Flooding Impacts India, Sri Lanka, Bosnia, Indonesia

(Watch Post): November is proving to be a wet month for several countries, as floods cause power outages, displace thousands from their homes, and leave around 40 people dead.
More than 11K people have been displaced in India by ongoing Tamil Nadu floods in the southern part of the country. Reports indicate that at least 14 are now dead from weather-related incidents in recent days. Flood waters have destroyed homes, infrastructure, crops and livestock. Some three miles of power lines have also been damaged. Severe weather in the region continues.
The death toll has climbed to at least 20 in Sri Lanka, where heavy rains have caused flooding and landslides.
Bosnian officials have issued a warning for citizens to watch for unexploded munitions and old landmines that may be moved or uncovered by flood waters there. Areas of Sarajevo suffered power outages due grid damage from rising waters last week. Emergency crews were forced to use boats to rescue workers from a flooded industrial area in Rajilovac.
At least 6 have been killed by torrential rainwaters in Batu City in East Java Province, Indonesia. Debris from homes, motorbikes, cars, and even livestock were swept away in the disaster area there.
Rescue and aid workers continue to assist as many as possible in these areas. No doubt, the devastation will be evident for months to come.

Watch Post Commentary: While global leaders tout manmade climate change as the culprit for disasters such as these, Christians see them through a different lens. These are clearly among the many birth pains that Jesus spoke of (Matt. 24) when his disciples asked him how they would recognize the end of the age and his second coming.
